This handout takes students through the major issues facing African-Americans during the Jim Crow Era (1877-1954). I've categorized them into Voting, Segregation, Sharecropping, Convict Lease Laws, and Terrorism. There are check for understanding questions built in, and then 5 multiple choice questions from the New York State Regents exam at the end.
