About This Lesson
The Joy Luck Club serves as the foundation for the exploration of how mothers influence our lives. The students will complete an “I Search Project” (a variation on the standard autobiography). The students will also research the mean or origins of their given and surnames. The research will be blended into a ten page I Search report and presentation. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RL.9-10.1, RL.9-10.2 , RL.9-10.3, RL.9-10.4, RL.9-10.5
