About This Lesson

In this activity students will understand that planets take different amounts of time to move around the sun, be able to explain why people on earth cannot always see all of the planets, and learn why planets were once called “wandering stars.” This lesson plan is adapted from one originally developed by Cherilynn Morrow and Michael Zawaski, available from the Space Science Institute.
