About This Lesson
This experiment provides an excellent introduction to the concept of potential difference (voltage). It shows that two lamps which take about the same current give out quite different amounts of light.

My only concern with this teacher demonstration is the caution note that suggest teachers have a good working knowledge of electricity because of the lethal voltage required.
