About This Lesson

One of the primary ways children are exposed to lead is by eating old paint chips (from 1977 or before) or ingesting old paint particles and dust. There is no safe level of lead exposure. Lead is a neuro-toxicant. Children exposed to lead can experience delayed growth, decreased IQ and learning problems.
