About This Lesson
A lesson I did on using mind mapping software with students was once filmed and made into a Teachers TV program. The files here are the outline plans I used. It was a lesson where students used netbooks and created accounts with Mindmeister and worked tog
This is a very good resource and I think developing understanding through mind mapping is really important, as you also develop study skills through a very effective tool! I love the idea of creating a whole class mind map collaboratively, although when it comes to mind mapping I am a purist and I believe in the power of usin only one word per branch like Tony Buzan outlines in his "The Mind Mapping Book". This is because you maximize the potential for new associations from each branch. For example, if I write constant speed on a single branch, I can only add daughter branches that associate to the idea of constant speed, but if I write speed on one branch, then I can associate daughter branches about constant, increasing, units, equation, etc... Thanks for sharing this lovely resource!
