About This Lesson

Students will practice identifying letters of the alphabet by circling a target letter or letters on a nursery rhyme or a poem. As a possible extension activity, have students circle high frequency words. Nursery rhymes are included in the resource. Thank you for this idea. Also a copy of many different nursery rhymes which can be used for a variety of purposes. (Circle the rhyming words, same sound different spelling etc.)

This will be very easy to turn into a multilevel exercise. Beginners can circle letters while more advanced students can circle sight words they know from flash cards and class activities. Thank you.
