About This Lesson
Our students manufacture the attached project as their first manual milling machine project. This is used on our gear head engine lathes as a spacer/ holder for their 5/16 square lathe tool-bits for when they start on the lathes shortly. We designed these because the smallest slot in the dovetail tool-holders is 3/4" width and depth.
