About This Lesson

This activity requires a strip of magnet cut into pieces. Making this demonstration requires the children to first assemble and color in various pieces. It involves pictures of a dog; a bone; a kennel; string and pieces of steel or metal. Instructions included but basically attach the magnet and string to the dog and a small metal piece to the bone. Draw the dog out of the kennel by pulling the string; get the bone (the magnet attracts the metal piece) and draw the dog back to the kennel with the bone.
