About This Lesson

When a large-scale tragedy occurs, it can cause strong and deeply felt reactions in adults and children. How adults express their emotions over the traumatic events will influence the reactions of children and youth. Parents and teachers can help youngsters manage their feelings by both modeling healthy coping strategies themselves and closely monitoring their own emotional state and that of the children in their care.

I am not sure how you would

I am not sure how you would distill and teach students about emotions and reactions to traumatic events.
Good information for adults, but it needs to presented in a "kid friendly" manner to help students.
