About This Lesson
These maps are great visual aids which show how much the world has changed (political borders) as a result of decolonization and independence. Although it doesn't get into nitty, gritty details, it serves as a great impression for children. They would be amazed to see just how much the world changed and it can leave them interested to learn more, do independent research, or have a framework for further investigation.
