About This Lesson

This activity combines art, literacy, and science. Read the book BIRDS by Kevin Henkes. Connect the book with the marble painting activity by imagining what the paper would look like if birds painted the paper with their feathers. It's amazing what the kids already know about BIRDS. When "performing" the activity the class will sing and dance along! But be careful not to have too much fun! Aligned to Common Core State Standards: SL.K.1, SL.1.2 . Appropriate for Early Childhood Education (Pre-K and younger). ECE-LT-co, ECE-LT

What a fun lesson. I can see using the finished paper for other projects, too!
