About This Lesson
This is a great emergent reader to use during a Nursery Rhyme unit. The high-frequency words featured are: see, a, I, yes, no. I use this as a center activity. I have the students highlight the high-frequency words and then color the pictures. On Friday, the book goes home to be read to parents. I attach a comment sheet that is to returned on Monday. Parents love it, and kindergarteners see themselves as readers.
