About This Lesson

After reading, When Pigcasso Met Mootisse, students create Matisse inspired collages. I had the kids oink like a pig when I said Pigcasso & mooooo when saying Mootisse. We also discussed friendship & acceptance while understanding that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. In reality, Matisse and Picasso were friends, together they changed the Modern Art Era forever enabling artists to experiment with different techniques & medium. Aligned to CCSS: SL.K.2, SL.1.2, SL.2.2, SL.3.2, SL.4.2 , ECE-AR-dr, ECE-AR-cr, ECE-AR
