About This Lesson
I used this to introduce Minimalism and 20th century compositional techniques.We tried playing "In C" as a class which they enjoyed and we looked at scores to find examples to go with our definitions. I had 80 minutes for this lesson and it could easily be extended to go over many lessons.This lesson tied in with their composition assessment where they had to write a 20th century style piece.
