We do this by understanding the formula for difference of two squares. We can also factor an expression in this form by using more traditional methods but by applying the form of difference of two squares it is easy to identify a problem in this form and to rewrite it as a product of two binomials.I am a math teacher that provides free online math tutoring by working through problems for the website http://mathhomeworkanswers.org.
