When dealing with variables like terms must have the same variable factors. In this video I show you how to simplify expressions with parenthesis. We simplify the expression by rearranging the terms so that like terms are next to each other and then we simplify. When adding like terms we add the coefficients of the variables. I then provide extra problems for students to perform for practice and show them the solutions.
