About This Lesson

This is a good activity to do around Mother's Day. Each child gets a copy of the survey, a clipboard and a pencil. Children survey their peers and asks each of them how many children their Mother's have. The surveyor records the number in the box by the child's name. After 10 minutes, gather the children together and go over the answers. Many children may not have all the answers, but can record them when we go over it. It's a fun way to see who can mentally count the number of siblings they have. You can change the names to students in your class.
