About This Lesson
First we have an interview with Jon Keating; Professor of Mathematical Physics at the University of Bristol. Then we introduce a collection of five short films about the nature of mathematics. These Mathematical Ethnographies resulted from an invitation from Professor Keating to other distinguished professional mathematicians to talk about what they believe characterises real mathematics and mathematical activity. We hope you will find their thoughts inspirational as you seek ways of enabling and encouraging your own students to act mathematically.
