About This Lesson
These rubrics can be used for the New York State Global History or US History exams. I took all of the relevant criteria for grading an essay as a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 and put them into a rubric format. Then I added clarity to some of the items that were vague (like "has a logical and clear plan of organization) and wrote all of the criteria in student friendly language. The file is named "DBQ Essay Rubric" but the Thematic essay rubric is also there.
