About This Lesson

Just a quick little activity in which children could cut and match number pairs independently or could match pre-cut jigsaw pieces to show understanding of pairs totaling ten. Aligned with Common Core Standard: K.OA.4 Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Understand addition as putting together and adding to, and understand subtraction as taking apart and taking from. Aligned with Common Core Standard: 1.OA.6 Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Add and subtract within 20.
