About This Lesson
This story was written to introduce a class to the concept of division. The children find themselves wandering in a scary forest; and meet an ogre who threatens to eat them if they don't help him with his math! There are two parts to the story - the first; which shows dividing shapes and numbers; and the second; which teaches the division symbol and how it is used.
