There are different way for opening function at Algebra 2 class (reghular Algebra 2).... Here is how I did with given two exmaples - polynomial function and absolute function as opening activity for introduction of function. In this activity, the student should have built concept on what x lead to y. For example, one studnet ask me a very general question during bell ringer question discussion, what do we use x for? When I assign them this activity, I immediately remind and ask him what he is thinking on the use of x here
