Writing the Introduction Your opening paragraph should gain your readers’ attention and identify the focus of your analysis. Use the suggestions listed below to help you get started on your opening. After we discuss these in class use the back of this sheet to write the opening to your analysis. Remember the last sentence of the introduction must be your thesis statement.
