Learning Goals/Objectives • Students will understand that the U.S. federal government is separated into three branches. • Students will identify the structure and responsibilities of each branch through close reading and vocabulary strategies. Describe the organizational structure (legislative, executive, judicial branches) and powers of the federal government as defined in Articles I, II, and III of the U.S. Constitution.
