About This Lesson
Spring is a great time to talk about all the creatures that lay eggs. Copy and laminate the Oviparous Creatures posters and post them around the room. Students take a clipboard and recording sheet and search for the pictures of oviparous creatures. They write the name of the creature and how many syllables they hear in the word. Students are then asked to draw another creature they know that lays eggs on that back side of the recording sheet. Appropriate for Early Childhood Education (Pre-K and younger).
