About This Lesson
In this lesson, students will learn what happens to trash when it is thrown away; that packaging is used to advertise and sell things and can be wasteful; and what resources are necessary to produce and recycle the plastic, paper, glass, and aluminum used in packaging. Using what they learn in this lesson, students will make a “Packaging Watch Card” to use as a reference for environmentally responsible shopping.
