About This Lesson
Students explore how shallow seas appeared and disappeared throughout the Paleozoic Era. During the Paleozoic and Mesozoic, six marine transgressions and regressions caused sea level to rise over the continents, leaving evidence in rocks in the Grand Canyon and elsewhere.
