Standards

Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.
Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.

A great cross-curricular math and science activity. I would also add a quarter and eighths column to add challenge for the more able. Or perhaps work out the size of a giants measurements who is two and a half times bigger than a human.
