About This Lesson
Honor first responders and heroes on Patriot Day or throughout the year with this Describe a Hero Activity. Use this activity as a way to integrate ELA and social studies when teaching a lesson on Patriot Day, community helpers, or adjectives. Children will use adjectives to describe a hero using either the word bank or for a challenge they can write their own on the second page.
