About This Lesson

Hank Fellows, a New York City songwriter, wrote this song shortly after 9-11-01. It has been performed at hundreds of 9/11 ceremonies across America. The lyrics of this song have also been studied and taught as a contemporary poem reflecting on America's darkest day. On Sept. 10, 2006, Hank received a Citation from the New York City Council for his "continued generosity and devotion to the remembrance of September 11th." (See attached Citation). Free sheet music for this song is also available on Hank's "Share My Lesson" page under this song's title.
