I love this resource, as explained students have to work out how many peas would be needed to fill the classroom. The powerpoint provides a little scaffolding but not very much which is nice as it means the students have to really think about it. The activity itself is differentiated by outcome but it might be nice to add in some level criteria for the task so students know what is expected to achieve their target. The task brings in estimation, measurement, volume, area and mathematical justification. You could start the lesson asking how many sweets are in a jar or something smaller scale just to get the students going. Thank you for sharing.
