About This Lesson

Each member of the class has a green card and a red card. The words/images are flashed up on the screen and the class holds up the corresponding colored card - red for animal cells; green for plant cells (or both cards if the word/image pertains to both).

This PPT presentation is played much like the TV game where they flash red (tomato) or green (pepper) cards, only in this game red is for animal cells and green for plant cells. It is a great way to reinforce the differences and similarities between the two types of cells. If you don’t have colored cards the students could just call out!
