<p>Show that for any triangle it is always possible to construct 3 touching circles with centres at the vertices. Is it possible to construct touching circles centred at the vertices of any polygon?</p>

This is an excellent investigation for students to do which brings in geometry and algebra. This would ideally need a whole lesson in order for students to get the most out of it. The investigation can be done on several levels, either through trial and error or by setting up some simultaneous equations to solve. Thank you for sharing.
