I found a really good way for middle school kids (and high school freshmen) is to make a contest. I post 2 huge chart papers, one says prokaryote, one says eukaryote. The students then have 6 minutes to put their team name on the bottom of each cut up card and place it on the right chart. The team with the most correct wins. You can also do it bracket-style in march for march madness.
