About This Lesson

Students with gifts and talents require modification(s) to their educational experience(s) to learn and realize their potential. These students:

  • Come from all economic, racial, ethnic and cultural populations;
  • Require sufficient access to appropriate learning opportunities to realize their potential;
  • May have a disability (as defined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and possess exceptional ability, i.e., “twice exceptional students”.
  • Require support and guidance to develop socially and emotionally as well as in their areas of talent.
