I have used these activities with the children in my school in grades 3; and 4; the practical hands on creative aspect provided great opportunity for me to assess their knowledge; skill and understanding of fractions and percentages of amounts. Allow at least two lessons or a math morning to complete this.
A fantastic idea for children to create a rainforest having to include certain fractions e.g 3/7 leaves are dark green. Can be easily edited. Children will love this activity and it is brilliant for children apply their knowledge of fractions practically.
