About This Lesson

It explains and provides a very simple grid coined the Ratio Reckoning Machine; for children to calculate ratios. It can be used for a basic question such as the number of different color apples in a bag to a more complex ratio which involves different units usually featured in a recipe. It is just a start and I need to add more problems.

Very impressive!

I am going to show this to the math teacher at my school. I think she will like it. Have you thought about publishing it on a DVD?

A well thought out and clear explanation of how to use knowledge of multiplication and division facts to work with ratio. Also includes some problems and questions for children to apply what they have learnt.
