About This Lesson

One essential strategy teachers must utilize to enhance comprehension is, Before-During-After reading activities. “Before” reading activities (for example, introducing Tier II and Tier III vocabulary, activating prior knowledge). “During” reading activities, helps students make connections. . “After” reading activities gives students an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the text. This activity is designed to help teachers understand the purpose and usefulness of this strategy.
