This is a greatly planned
This is a greatly planned lesson. The activity before the notes is a great tool to scaffold student understanding of the topic. Students have confidence when they begin the lesson because of the knowledge acquired during the activity. The Powerpoint portion of the packet is terrific for differentiated instruction. It helps students with learning disabilities stay on task and prevents them from getting lost in the lesson, which would otherwise happen due to their delay of note-taking skills.

Fantastic overview powerpoint. the 'lesson' or 'activity' is not perfectly clear, it appears to be mostly note-taking into organizers and not based on the workshop model. I am going to try and adapt this into two or three days of activities.
