About This Lesson
This reflection sheet has students take a finished document based question (DBQ) essay that they wrote and explain the task, their choices, and develop lists of outside information they could have included, as a way of seeing how much more they could have written. The types of outside information are facts that are related to the document, perspectives of each document, motives within each document, or biases of each document. They should work on this in groups so they can pool their collective analyses of the documents.
