About This Lesson

This lesson plan; dynamic activity and handout have been put together as a starting point for a unit on Refugees and Asylum Seekers. The activity requires no prior knowledge on the subject for students and has been designed to encourage students to walk in the shoes of Refugees for a moment; so that they can begin to understand and empathize with some of the situations faced by Refugees when leaving their homes. The kids really enjoy this one!
