About This Lesson

Learn about the physics of resistance in a wire. Change its resistivity, length, and area to see how they affect the wire's resistance. The sizes of the symbols in the equation change along with the diagram of a wire.;
Sample Learning Goals
•As you change either the resistivity
•length
•or area of the resistor
•the resistance changes. Will increasing or decreasing each of these three values make the resistance correspondingly increase or decrease? Why?

The interactive resource is really nice and it's great the way it changes the size of the letters in the equation to show what's happening. It's worth clicking on some of the Teaching ideas on the web pages too.
