About This Lesson

Resource guide for Read aloud books about Farm Animals will be updated as I can. I think it is a very positive start. I have been working on some wonderful online activities, but need more time before I can add them. I urge you to try to read as many as you can on this list. I have read all of these to my preschoolers. We adored them!  My daughter and I share Lemon the Duck in 2 different countries via the phone. It is so moving. I would pre-read and look at all the available information to share after the story. It is very moving and so powerful. Remember, the most important purpose in read aloud is to build a life long love of books and reading. You can do pre-reading activities that will set the stage for the book and post reading activities to enrich comprehension, but the joy should always be the priority.  If you can read 2-3 times a day that is such a gift.
