About This Lesson

This is a mathematical version of the game Taboo. Students are asked to get the other people in their team to guess the word they are describing; without using the word; spelling it; or saying words that rhyme. This was first used in a school which has 99% ELL students; but is very easily adaptable.

This is a very good resource which will get students thinking about some mathematical language. I will be using this as a starter in a revision lesson as it makes the students think about some of the mathematical terms which they have learnt and tests their understanding of them. It should promote discussion and debate about what some of the terms mean, very easily adaptable to suit any topic. Thank you very much for sharing!
