Using an interactive activity, students will discover a relationship between the lengths and sums of the sides of a triangle (Triangle Inequality Theorem). They will practice labeling triangles by angles and sides (or if no triangle could be formed) and make notes about other triangle observations. I think the lesson would benefit from more definition on the rolling of the dice. I know some of my students would want to roll the dice all 20 times and then create the triangles afterward. I would want to see what procedure I would want in my class: DO I want my students to roll the dice once, then create the triangle and record, then go to dice roll number 2...? I just think if I want a certain procedure then I would add it to the instructions. The assessment portion/questions did a really effective job of covering all the information I wanted to know from my students. Kudos for another great resource from this user!!! I've been rating a lot of your resources during a SML marathon, and I have to say you have a great collection! Thanks for your hard work!!!!!!
