About This Lesson

Use the site history, site plan and tour, documentary sources and site photos to investigate Scarborough Castle, England, set in a strategic position that has ensured it has almost continually been occupied. Also use the suggested activities to make cross curricular links with Art and Design, English, Geography, Math and Science.

This is geared for British standards and schools; this castle does not hold significance in American curriculum and would not be useful in American classrooms. Also, the tags are too low of grade level for students. If they were to use the resource as-is, they would not be able to read most of it (grades 2-7 that is). However, if this were Britain, I think this lesson could be adapted and used wisely on an educational school field trip.
