About This Lesson

4 Minute Video Lesson

The Asian story of the Cracked Pot teaches that everyone is unique and has a gift to share with the world. Often, what is seen as disability or difference can cause lasting psychological impact. This ancient Chinese parable flips notions of perfection and calls for us to see differences as assets.

This is a complete micro lesson on Social Emotional Development through the ethical lens of the Four Awesome Questions: Is it True?, Is it Fair? Will it Build Community and Better Friendship? Will it be Helpful to those Involved? Following the story, selected discussion questions are presented to engage critical thinking and authentic discussion.
