About This Lesson
As students read the novel A Separate Peace, they keep a roommate journal so that they can identify more closely with the experiences of the literary characters. Students address the differences, conflicts and joys that boarding school/college roommates ordinarily encounter and must articulate how they would feel and what they would say in each scenario in the journal.
