One thing to keep in mind - many drinks now are made with high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar. The densities of the two are different, so they float differently even though neither is a diet drink. Make sure you get a drink with real sugar to compare to the aspartame.

Great Idea, but can be a difficult concept for little ones. I would exapnd this to other grade levels as well
